If you’re like me and perform a superhuman amount of online research you soon appreciate the convenience of sitting back and watching a video.

Many novice Internet Marketers strongly believe that you really should create a site on a particular topic which you already have a vast knowledge about.

Though if your primary motivation for putting yourself out there in a blog or website is to make money, your number one concern is how easily you can make money from your topic or niche.

Having a passion about a particular topic does help, though nothing will dampen your spirits more than blogging for months on end while only making enough money for a bagel and a cappuccino for your trouble.

You really have to find a happy medium between entering a niche which has the ‘real ability’ to earn a healthy income as well as entering a niche which you have a burning interest in. But I hear you ask, what if I don’t know anything about the niche topic?

Well that is where research comes in.

As long as the niche topic genuinely interests you and you’re willing to do to do a fair amount of research, then you’re more than qualified to write content for that particular niche which is more than what you need for a content rich affiliate site.

Of course the real bonus is when you have a deep seated passion for a particular topic which has huge untapped marketing potential and really this just comes down to luck. Realistically speaking you have to think outside the square and be open to untapped niche ideas and hot topics which may produce exciting returns for your efforts.

Truth be known, many Professional Internet Marketers have a number of varied ‘Affiliate Sites’ on a vast array of different topics while running their main Internet Marketing sites. In fact many prominent Internet Marketers are rather coy about revealing their niche sites for a fear of mad rush of competition to their largely untapped niche.

It’s this serious lack of competition which makes some niche topics potential gold mines!

This isn’t to say that they are not authorities in their niche, or that they are just fooling people with content written without any real knowledge on their chosen topic. The reality is that top Internet Marketers look to become highly knowledgeable on hot niche topics through in depth research while ultimately realizing that there is real money to be made by not only presenting content on an untapped niche topic; but presenting this content in a unique, informative and entertaining way.

That said one of your first considerations for settling on a niche topic is what affiliate products are available for your particular niche. And if there are none, then that may be why there is no real competition. Nothing is more frustrating than doing in depth market research and finding a hot niche, identifying some great untapped keywords, steaming ahead and creating a great website only to find the serious lack of affiliate products to offer all your hard earned visitors.

Really what it comes down to is this.

If there is one thing I love most about marketing online it is coming across little software tools that automate some more of the mundane tasks that an internet marketer just has to do in order to climb the ladder of success.

One of these really boring tasks is backlinking, I have yet to meet an Internet Marketer who just lives to perform this brain numbing exercise and if I ever meet one I think you agree that they should seriously seek the help of a metal health expert.

Backlinking would have to be the most dreaded, mundane and by far the most unexciting past times in Internet Marketing. Unfortunately effective and prolific backlinking is the most efficient means to grant you the Holy Grail of traffic, a number one spot in the search engines for your niche.

So any tool that not only increases how many backlinks I can create an hour, but help me find the best sites for placing baclinks is a Godsend.

And Comment Hut is just that!

Comment Hut is a neat little program which automatically searches for blogs which have a high relevancy to your own. All you have to do is start the program and enter a search term which is relevant to your page and niche and Comment Hut will search for and publish all the URL’s of Blogs which it finds relevant to the search terms you entered.

Then it’s a simple matter of clicking on the links within Comment Hut which will open a browser window with that blog ready for you to post a constructive comment complete with backlink.
Although Comment Hut doesn’t post the comment for you it does make the whole process much more efficient and helps me to create more backlinks in less time.

One word of advice though, it is tempting to go absolutely crazy with these tool and create a superhuman amount of backlinks in a single day, but I strongly warn against doing this. Google and the other search engines are getting smarter and the search engines are looking for gradual irregular backlink increases. If you go crazy with this tool you could actually be doing more harm than good and the search engines could assume your huge spike in backlinks as being artificial and slap you into search engine oblivion.

The trick is to use the tool as a time saver, and even though I use this tool I still leave comments and backlinks in all manner of places on the web. Remember Google loves variety so it’s best not to leave backlinks just in a single type of web medium like blogs.

For anyone who has moved on from blogger and stepped into the world of Wordpress blogging, for the beginner the learning curve can be steep and at times frustrating.

I love online tools which help me with research, or automate tasks but what I really love about most online tools is that many are free.

If you familiar with the concept of backlinking then the first thing you realize about creating backlinks is that it is extremely boring task, but it has to be done if you wish to get on the first page of the search engines to realize any serious traffic.

Therefore any time you spend creating backlinks you really have to capitalize on and create good quality backlinks that carry the most weight with the search engines.

Facebook has just recently made some pretty big changes of late, the social networking website has somewhat split its customers profile into two sections, public and private or rather social and commercial.

The now private section is the same old Facebook we know and love, but the new pages area of our profile I am sure we are going to adore.

This new commercial/public section comes in the form of pages, and is a great idea and a godsend for anyone who owns a small business or is into internet marketing. Basically through page manager you can setup a page or pages to advertise or marketing anything you want. Now I know all you guys love the posts I put up showcasing new tools for internet marketing and keyword research, so I thought I would write a post on one of my new favorites.

But before I let the cat out of the bag let me just say that market and keyword research should not only be your first port of call when considering entering a new niche. But market and keyword research should form the foundation of all of your following work.

If you fail to perform proper market and keyword research, you could sabotage your campaign before it even get’s off the ground! This will ultimately waste your time and money as you could find yourself pursuing a market that is either not viable or far too competitive already having too many large and established players.

Take my word for it, that no matter how boring you find it pays in spades to do thorough market and keyword research!

Now that I got that off my chest, the keyword research tool I would like to look at today is called ‘Keyword Spy’. Ironically some parts of this tool look a bit like Market Samurai, but I think Keyword Spy is a little more user friendly and the information that is provides is a bit easier to understand.

What’s really great about Keyword Spy is that you can use the affiliate and keyword research tool on the top of the website for free, a there is also a free trial available which gives access to some really cool extra features. Though for anyone new to internet marketing the free keyword research tool on the website still provides an excellent insight into the market you’re looking to break into.

To receive the keyword information you just type in the keyword or the domain you want to gather information about and hey presto!

The results give you all the webpages using your particular keyword along with their daily advertising budget, total clicks per day and number of competitors. All of this is highly valuable keyword research information when deciding whether or not to get your feet wet in a particular market and deciding the ways to best ways to monetize your site, whether it be through adsense, affiliates or adwords.

If you drill down further into individual websites you’re given a paid keyword overview of that site as well as the sites position for each paid keyword as well as the sites competitor’s standing, it almost seems unfair doesn’t it? And all of this is within the free section of the website!
